Fluid Mask 3 is One of the Best Graphics Editing Programs
"It simply takes the labor out of editing images where a replacement background is needed. While Photoshop does an ok job at removing backgrounds with its Magic Wand tool, it is no match for Fluid Mask 3. In areas where Edge Blending has occurred, FM3 does a spectacular job of dealing with this very difficult issue."

"Making an accurate selection, for example when you want to composite a good sky into a photograph with a black sky or replace the background of an individual figure is difficult and time consuming and if that person has hair, good luck. I’ve looked at quite a few cut-out Photoshop plug-ins and, in my opinion, none of them solve this problem with the speed, accuracy, and automated ease of Fluid Mask 2.0."

Heligon creates cut-out tool A London-based developer of image algorithms has
developed a Photoshop plug-in that it claims can slash the time
and cost of making cut-outs of complex images.
Heligon's Vertus Fluid Mask uses image processing techniques based
on the human visual system to analyse images and it's this combination
of clever processing and a meta data layer in the image that the
firm claims is unique.
As well as slashing the time taken to mask or cut
out complex images the firm also said it makes some subjects that
would previously have been too complicated to cut out achievable.
It also suggested that the time savings offered could keep manual
pre-press tasks such as cut-outs in the UK, counteracting the move
towards offshoring.
The Mac version of the software will be launched
on 1st June with the PC version following in July.
