Trees & Lattices Video Tutorial

Trees & Lattices #1

Ever taken the perfect scenery shot only to be dissapointed with the dull grey skyline? You ever though - hey, this would look great if only I could drop in a new skyline? Then listen up! We’ve rolled two great video tutorials into one - so sit back relax and let us show you how Fluid Mask 3 can save you time AND your images.

The first tutorial is with the background is grey and lighter than the foreground - the task on this image is to preserve the all important highlights on the leaves; the second is more difficult with well defined branches and flowers where the foreground is both lighter and darker than the background.

Been trying the trail version to seperate sky from trees in my real estate pictures.
Cannot for the life of me get mine to work. Cannot seperate the colours to either keep or delete. Always loosing details and when I used a big blend brush on wispy foliage it all goes muddy or blurry.
Is there any more detailed tutorials?
Watched the tut videos over and over again with no luck.

    Hi Ian,

Thanks for your post and sorry for the lateness in reply.

I think that you might want to reduce the size of your Blend Brush. If the Blending Brush is too big it will pick up similar colors in the sky and tree/foliage (ie. the highlights and lowlights).

Please let me know how you get on.

    Best regards
    Steve

ps. I’ll keep a close eye on this post ;-)
